(M & M) Hot Chocolate Cake

Okay, the name is a bit deceiving because there are no M&Ms in this cake.

As a teenager I worked at a downtown cafeteria by the name of M&M Cafe.

Every Tuesday we served this cake. It was always sold out. It is just a good, messy looking cake and rather easy to make!

2 Cups of Self-rising Flour

2 Cups of Sugar

5 Tablespoons of Cocoa

1 Cup of Water

2 Sticks of Butter

Add 1 teaspoon soda to 1/2 Cup of Buttermilk.

Add Buttermilk mixture to 2 well-beaten eggs.

NOW, mix ALL above ingredients together with wire wisk. (Do not use mixer). Pour in 8 1/2″ by 11″ metal or Pyrex dish. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.

5 Tablespoons of Cocoa

2 Cups of Sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 sticks of butter

1/2 cup of milk

Mix all ingredients together and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

Poke holes in top of cake (lots of holes) with a straw. Pour icing over cake.

This cake is great HOT or COLD or even heated in the microwave! The cake just falls apart! Add a little ice cream and YUMMY!

Great with a cup of coffee!
